We’re serious about silliness
Every day brings its own set of challenges and every team needs to be ready and prepared to face them. This means split-second decisions and immediate adaptations of programmes are daily necessities.
We pride ourselves in meeting these challenging situations with a level head, lightning-fast reactions and unwavering respect and regard for the community we are working with.
We take organisation, logistics, partnerships, safeguarding and evaluation extremely seriously.
Our recent partners include

Planning and collaboration
Our trained teams of clowns, musicians and entertainers create safe environments for play and laughter in challenging and desperate situations, in the UK and around the world.
To ensure the efficacy of our projects and that we reach those most in need, we always undertake rigorous planning that includes:
- Identifying the relevant partners.
- Logistics and safety assessments.
- Getting the right permissions and access.
- Understanding who the audience will be (e.g. unaccompanied minors).
Quality control
Working with vulnerable and impressionable young people is a real responsibility. To ensure that our teams are operating professionally and to high standards, we have the following quality control measures:
- Code of conduct – safeguarding, hygiene, rules (not eating/drinking in camp), etc.
- Annual reviews of all policies.
- Professional development, core team evaluation.
- Daily briefing, roles, risks and security protocols.
You can read our Child Protection Policy here.

Evaluation
All projects delivered are an opportunity to grow and improve, but also to identify what didn’t work. To make sure we seize this chance for improvement, we undertake the following:
- Testimonials from partners.
- Qualitative and quantitative impact data.
- PhD research.
